Our scientists at CIFHER worked in the leading government drug development program of the National Cancer Institute and were also funded through grants by the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. They performed computational research for the discovery and development of therapeutic candidates, including possible treatments for orphan cancers. They also discovered and helped develop countermeasures for Class A bio-threat agents. Having left the NCI in 2021, CIFHER staff are broadening their mission to include environmental issues that may help individuals prevent cancers. The team is also working to promote new collaborations for the development of drug candidates that were ignored by the NCI. Additionally, CIFHER is one of the few organizations that can perform detailed structure-based molecular modeling. CIFHER is open to form new collaborations and funding opportunities that require this intense scientific approach. For more information about our capabilities, please read our organizational pamphlet below.
